• Images: Photos you upload for generating blends (selfies and character images)

• Provide and maintain our AI generation service
• Process your blend generation requests

Face Data Collection and Use

What face data we collect: When you upload a selfie photo to create a blend, your image contains face data including facial features, facial geometry, and skin tone information. We collect this data solely through the photos you voluntarily upload to use the app's core functionality.

How we use face data: Your face data is used exclusively for the following purpose:

• To generate AI-powered "blends" that combine your facial features with character images you select
• This is the core and only purpose of the app - no other use of face data occurs

Third-party sharing: Your face data (via uploaded images) is shared only with:

• OpenAI (via Replicate API): Our AI image generation provider processes your images to create blends. They process the images in real-time and do not retain face data after processing is complete.
• Firebase Storage (Google Cloud): Your uploaded images and generated results are stored securely in Firebase Storage, protected by industry-standard encryption.

Face data retention:

• AI Processing: Face data sent to OpenAI/Replicate is processed in real-time and is NOT retained by the AI service after the generation is complete.
• Your Storage: Your uploaded selfie images and generated blends remain in your account storage until YOU choose to delete them. You have full control to delete any image at any time.
• Account Deletion: When you delete your account, all your images including face data are permanently deleted from our systems.

Important protections:

• We do NOT use face data for facial recognition or identification purposes
• We do NOT use your face data to train AI models
• We do NOT sell or share face data for advertising or marketing purposes
• We do NOT create biometric identifiers or facial templates from your images
• Face data is used ONLY for the creative image generation you explicitly request

AI Generation and Image Processing

When you create a blend:

• Your uploaded images are temporarily sent to our AI processing service (OpenAI via Replicate)
• Images are processed using advanced AI technology to generate your requested blend
• Generated images and original uploads are stored securely in Firebase Storage
• We do not use your images for training AI models
• Images are only used for the specific generation you requested
• The AI service does not retain your images after processing is complete

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using:

• Firebase Authentication for secure login
• Firebase Firestore for generation metadata
• Firebase Storage for images
• Industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share your data only with:

• AI processing service providers (for image generation)
• Firebase/Google Cloud (for storage and authentication)
• RevenueCat (for subscription management)
• Apple/Google (for payment processing)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• Account information: Until you delete your account
• Face data and images: Until you manually delete them from your account, or when you delete your account - whichever occurs first. You have full control to delete any image at any time.
• Generated blends: Until you manually delete them
• AI processing data: NOT retained - images are processed in real-time and immediately discarded by the AI service after generation is complete
• Usage data: Up to 2 years for analytics purposes (does not include face data)

You can delete individual generations or your entire account at any time through the app settings.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Object to data processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

Children's Privacy

HeroBlend is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this privacy policy.
